The purpose of this award is to develop speed. The recommended sprint distance for skiers seven years of age is 50-75 meters; for eight and nine years of age it is 75-100 meters.

Award Formula: If the distance is 100 meters, the actual time of the skier is used; if the distance is 50 meters, multiply the time of the skier by two, and so on:
→ Purple = 49 seconds to 40 seconds per 100 meters

Stickers should be placed over top of the shaded circle that says “Sprint X”. Colours on the stickers should correspond to the colour named in the shaded circle.
